Not affiliated with but supportive of the yes4minneapolis.org petition, Elana Schwartzman and I printed these to direct folks to the petition. Ida B. Wells printed her newspaper “Free Speech” on pink paper because many who wanted it were illiterate. They could identify it by its color and would bring it back to their community where youth would often read it aloud to the crowd. We hope this gets more folks to sign the petition: “This is the first step to letting voters decide the future of policing in Minneapolis.”
